Aug. 1st, 2007 01:49 pmI've just made a rather large friends cut. As always, making a friends cut seems bitchy, but in transitioning this to a personal journal I have to do what will make me comfortable talking about personal things here.
Since this account will be friends only except for icon posts from now on, if you've been cut and you want to continue to read my posts, you can comment asking to be added again, but I really can't promise anything. Even if that makes me bitchy.
School things and new job things are completely scary and overwhelming right now, so this post can also serve as an announcement that you shouldn't expect to see me around much for at least a couple of weeks. I'll probably still be reading my flist, because that's one of my primary forms of relaxation and entertainment, but posting or commenting, not so much.

So,
msmoocow reminded me the other day that I haven't posted any icons in a long time. I checked, and I really haven't; I've especially neglected to post the icons I make for contests over at
obsessiveicons (contests now hosted at
oicontests).
So, behind the cut you will find 43 icons made for various OI contests, including some award winners!

Icon Roulette #2
Nov. 11th, 2006 12:07 pmHere's the finished batch of icons for
icon_roulette. Unlike the previous set, there's no one unifying theme here, nor any fandom icons.

Autumnal Icons
Oct. 3rd, 2006 05:03 pmSince the summer icons seemed to be popular, I've made a few autumn/fall icons for the new season:

I also had a couple of foliage scenes that it was just wrong to crop so dramatically, so I made a couple of 800x400 banners, suitable for an LJ or something else, I dunno.

There's been another icontest come and gone over at
obsessiveicons, in which I was lucky enough to get this:

The theme for this contest was artificially colored landscapes, and I made an unusually large number of icons and bases as I tried to come up with two icons to enter in the contest.

I've got quite the backlog of icons I've made for the contests over at
obsessiveicons. You can only submit two per contest, but I always like to make (lots) more than that so that I have plenty to choose from.

Mar. 29th, 2006 08:05 pmExcitement! For the first time (but hopefully not the last) I have won one of the categories in an
obsessiveicons contest! Here is my icon:

It won "Best Use of Text". Go me!

Spring Icons
Mar. 11th, 2006 08:47 pmThe weather here today was so nice that I have declared it spring here on my LJ! That means new (bright) colors and some spring icons:

Feb. 19th, 2006 10:59 pmSo I keep on making icons, but I'm usually not inspired enough to create a whole set, just one or two or three, as the mood strikes me. I've also started participating in
obsessiveicons' contests, for which I usually make six or so icons before deciding on the two I want to submit. I thought I'd just post a collection of icons of that sort all together here, so they're in one place.

So it's 1:30 AM and I should be grading my students' one-page summaries so I can return them tomorrow. So what am I actually doing? Making icons, of course!
( I blame the weather. )
( I blame the weather. )
So I made a slew of icons based on Jubilate Agno by Christopher Smart, the poem from which my 'which is the largest Tunny' is taken.
